Feeling Sad

Feeling Sad is a short film directed by Uri Lotan to help children navigate the overwhelming emotions following a cancer diagnosis, it is part of the Imaginary Friend Society for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The film offers an empowering narrative about a young boy who learns that sadness is a natural part of life, and that with the right support, it is a feeling he can work through.

A pro bono labor of love from Hornet and RPA, the project was built on a foundation of emotional intelligence and honesty. By refusing to speak down to its young audience, the film transforms a terrifying experience into something approachable. The result is an uplifting piece of storytelling that provides comfort and a much-needed smile to children during their most difficult moments.
